Getting to the base

At the port, below the village

92 route de Saint-Martin, at the port of Limeuil. The car park is 50 metres from the base, a few minutes' walk to reception. Registration, life jackets, paddles and a briefing: within a quarter of an hour you are in the minibus to your starting point.

Dogs are welcome on board if they can swim and stay calm. Dry barrel for hire (€2) for your phone and keys.

When the base is open

In the event of an orange or red weather alert, flooding or thunderstorms, the base closes for your safety: free rescheduling or a full refund, your choice.

Before you come to Limeuil

Which river, Dordogne or Vézère?
The Vézère is wilder and shadier, ideal in the heat and for nature lovers. The Dordogne offers the grand Périgord landscapes and wider beaches. From Limeuil you can choose either.
Where do I park in Limeuil?
At the port of Limeuil, 50 metres from the base. The car park is municipal.
Can we swim at the finish?
Yes, Limeuil beach, at the confluence of the two rivers, is made for it.
Do I need to book?
Strongly recommended in July and August and at weekends. Otherwise, call before you come to check the day's departures.
Is this the same base as "Canoës Limeuil"?
Yes. Same port, same team, same routes. The base is part of Les Canoës du Bournat, who also run the Le Bugue base on the Vézère.
